Thanks for the replies and backup guys :D

I had to rest my wrist, but its fine now.

Now that my wrist is healed I can set a new goal.

30 hours by the end of april.
I will start counting tomorrow, it should be an average of 3h a day.

Yes, I agree with alexander. I think you should spend more time on your studies and really think about what you're doing, to get the most out of every piece. Try to think about the form and how the light is hitting it. But you're on the right way man, keep posting! :)

way to go man! 30h is a good goal. do as much as your wrists allow. what's the issue, tendonitis? rsi? let it heal and then take up rock climbing and weightlifting. it'll help a lot!

good amount of studies! go go go!

Try doing some portrait studies really zoomed out. Like a 400x600 canvas or so. Your first two are messy, I think studies like that will help to focus on the getting the structure and planes down in the beginning when you do portraits. :D
Your skull paintings are pure awesome <3

Algen- My wrist gets tired really easily, have had problems writing for extended period in school, in physical education and ofc drawing, its getting better though, I drew too much with wrist, that caused it. Thanks brah.
Iris- Ill try those out sometime. Heres another skull :)
Sushy- accuracy is my mortal enemy(soo tedious), but I will persist if making something more rendered.

Day 3.
3h done

Applied everything I learned these past days and produced a skull from imagination. Posted higher res ver and progress shots on the CD sketchbook.

Hey Cracked! Long time no e-see :D
oh man, last week in school?! You're gonna be smashing it even more once you have real free time!

Even though these are gestures, 2mins is a long time, don't forget to take your time, even if you are experimenting. Thinking is critical in everything we do :)

Anyways, keep it up man, I know how awesome you are!

Thanks Cookie

Subtly looking up and right, while the head is tilted left is bullshit! This pose is driving me nuts.

Sargent too stronk for me. I think Its impossible at my current level to get that face right using the hard way( which is the only way im going to do this). The fact that I kept making it worse over the hours made me break inside.

How can I get the near identical likeness, but not fall into details and fuck up the structure?
I tried the painterly way, but thats even harder, I got caught up on values and colors aswell.

The idea that I just cant do it right makes me fucking mad, Im gonna draw 100 goddamn faces!

Some nice studies here, bro.

I feel a tendency to skew the features of the face a bit. One eye tends to be asymmetrical compared to the other and things like that. Always refer one side to the other multiple times!

Keep up the great work!

Keep it cracking man. I'd say focus on taking the time to do it right, not getting caught up in the details, but making the most out of every line, every stroke in your drawings and paintings. I think it's more valuable doing 5 drawings you put all of your time and energy into than 50 half-assed ones.
I can already see improvement from the first post, keep pushing!! :)

Thanks Neland, I appreciate your opinion.

Soooooo Ive been in a hospital, to put it shortly.

First I got a fevour and some stomach pain, but It generalised to the appendix the next day and the fevour worsened.
So I got worried and checked in with doc, which lead me to get diagnased with inflamed appendix.
Had an appendectomy and then recovered for 5 days in the hospital.
Glad to be home at last.

Did some anatomy study while I was at home(before the operation) and some pensketches I did while recovering in hospital. Sorry for the blurry quality on some.
